🚀 Introducing Sendcash
Fast, affordable money transfers from anywhere in the world to Nigeria at the best rates.
A few weeks ago, we launched Sendcash on Twitter!
Sendcash is a way for people to send money to Nigerian bank accounts from anywhere in the world within minutes. It’s perfect for sending money to family and friends who are in Nigeria or receiving money from clients abroad as a freelancer.
Sendcash links your Nigerian bank account to a Bitcoin wallet address and when anybody sends Bitcoin to that wallet address, the Naira equivalent is automatically deposited into your bank account. The sender can send Bitcoin from any platform such as Cash App or Coinbase.
With Sendcash, the recipient does not need to interact with Bitcoin. They will get credited with the Naira equivalent to their bank account within minutes. So, yes, you can use Sendcash to send money to family and friends who don’t know anything about Bitcoin.
It is fast, affordable and requires no sign-up. Just input the account number you want to send money to and you’re good to go.
We compared what your recipient gets when you send $100 with Sendcash to other alternatives and here’s what we found 🤯:
We’re really excited about this because we believe that remittance is one of the biggest use cases for cryptocurrency because it has no geographical boundaries. This is another huge step towards fulfilling our mission of facilitating the borderless transfer of value across Africa.
So far, in less than a month, we have already processed over $100,000 in transfers from different countries to Nigeria and are pumped to do even more. Beyond the numbers, we’re happy to have created a platform that has allowed people to easily support their family and friends, get paid for their work and even donate to charities in Nigeria. We’ve also receivedpositivefeedback that has made us blush some.
If you have any feedback or questions about how it works, check out our help articles or email us at sendcash@buycoins.africa. You can start with Sendcash here.
Editor’s note: We changed the price comparison image to reflect that we do not accept dollars. We accept Bitcoin and send its Naira-equivalent to the recipient in Nigeria.
