What Is the Life in the UK Test?
The life in the UK test is a computer-based exam consisting of 24 questions that assess your knowledge of British life, history, and values. To pass the test, you must answer at least 18 questions correctly.
Eligibility Requirements.
You have to take the test if you:
Are between 18 - 65 years old.
Haven’t passed the test in the past.
Don’t have a long-term physical or mental condition.
How To Book the Test.
You must book a test centre on the UK government's website at least 3 days in advance to take this test. The cost of the test is 50 pounds, and you will need the following:
An email address
Accepted ID (usually your passport or biometric residence permit/card)
A debit or credit card.
Note: The only way to book your test is through the government's website. It is also recommended that you study the official handbook for the life in the UK test, as the test will be based on the information it contains.
What Happens Next?
On the day of the test, you will have 45 minutes to answer all the questions. You must bring the same ID that you used to book the test to the test centre.
After completing the test, you will receive a Unique Reference Number, which the Home Office will use to confirm your score and check if you passed when processing your citizenship or settlement application.
We wish you the best of luck on your test!
